Tea type: Black tea Brand: Pekoetea Preparation: 3-5 minutes at 100°C Find it: 20 Leven Street or online
Scent: As to be expected, the spices of the chai are prominent, with the cardamom and cloves coming through strongly.
Colour: A reddish-brown.
Taste: The taste of the Ceylon black tea is very strong, with the spices coming through afterwards. I would have liked the spices to taste more strongly, as the taste of the black tea overpowers them slightly.
Conclusion: A delicious classic chai with a good mix of spices. The tea is quite strong, suitable for a pick-me-up or a day when you need an extra boost. With even more spice this tea would have been even better.
