Tea type: Herbal infusion Brand: Pukka Herbs Preparation: Up to 15 minutes on 90-100°C Find it: A Holland & Barrett store, Princes St, Rose Street, Nicholson St, Shandwick Place or Deanhaugh St, or online
Scent: Both in the bag and after brewing there is a strong smell of cinnamon.
Colour: A light white-yellow.
Taste: As this isn't technically a tea, but an infusion, the main ingredient is cinnamon bark. Naturally, the cinnamon is quite prominent, but the vanilla flavour is one of the first tastes you get as you take a sip. The cinnamon and the other spices, ginger, cardamom, licorice and fennel, come through quite strongly in the aftertaste.
Conclusion: Like many of the Pukka teas, this one is also very tasty and refreshing. Being caffeine-free it is a good tea to relax with in the evening. The flavours are strong, but not overpowering, which makes this a nice tea both to relax with, and as a pick-me-up.
