Tea type: Green tea Brand: The East India Company Preparation: 3 minutes at 85°C Find it: 80A George Street, EH2 3BU

Scent: Under the strong smell of green tea, the scent of the cherry blossoms in this tea comes through, both before and after brewing.
Colour: A green-toned yellow.
Taste: A very strong green tea taste, that for me is too strong. There is a hint of cherry blossoms, but it is overpowered by the taste of the tea. Despite this being a light tea, the flavour is very strong and it has an overpowering grassy aftertaste.
Conclusion: Despite having tried this tea many times it has a flavour I can't get used to. My tea tasting companion enjoyed it, so I think there is something wrong with me and not the tea, possibly the mistake is in how I brew it at home. When I brew it for a shorter amount of time than instructed, the taste is lighter and the floral notes come through and I don't mind the taste, but overall this tea is too overpowering for me.
